There aren’t many things more beautiful than red blueberry bushes contrasted with pure white snow and deep blue winter sky. Those words spell Maine. After hiking up Clarry Hill on a mild February day, it makes me want to curl up on a couch by a fire with the book Come Spring or a poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay (her grandparents lived on Clarry Hill in Union).

If you look closely at this picture you can see the White Mountains faintly in the back ground. The clear winter skies bring great visibility.
Layers of hills and mountains gently fade into the sky.
