Back Country guided mountain biking adventures: trails, guided rides, instruction, and rentals. Located an hour west of Portland, this beautiful 8800 acre preserve offers peace and solitude. Many specialty built trails for all riders meander throughout the preserve and are designed for riding fun.

Going on our third decade we remain on the cutting edge of mountain biking adventures by offering riding trail challenges that are good, exciting, and enjoyable. We offer the latest techniques to improve a riders confidence and skills and specialize in trails that are fun for any riding ability. In addition, about 10 years ago Back Country started to employ sustainable technology in our daily doings at our center and now we are well on our way to getting off grid.
Back Country Excursion’s aim is to share rare and beautiful natural and wild areas with guests while making minimal environmental impact. A portion of the proceeds are donated annually to local environmental causes.
Back Country is also extending a helping hand to other places in the world and has teamed up to provide affordable bike transportation to small populations in Bhutan. Cliff’s guide friend and Cliff, the found of Back Country, now offer an amazing cultural expedition into the heat of Bhutan in the Himalayas.
